Cathy has been the office manager with Wright Funeral Home since May 2003. She was born in Moorhead, Minnesota, where she grew up and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1979. After high school, she attended Moorhead Technical Institute completing a two year course in Business Management/Marketing in 1981.
Cathy worked for North Dakota State University Credit Union as teller and later a loan processor/collections from 1981-1985. The fall of 1985 Cathy began working for MeritCare Medical Group as collector in the Neurology and Psychiatry departments. In the spring of 1990 Cathy moved into the collection department at the main clinic and worked there until 1996. When she the transferred to the Audit Department of Meritcare, auditing MeritCare's billing accounts, correcting coding/pricing errors, and insurance errors.
During her years at MeritCare Cathy was involved in many committees including mentoring, policy and procedures, and training. Cathy is currently co-president of the WELCA board at her church and very involved in the women's events at church.
