Alice Thurn-Paulsen

Alice was born in Sapucay, Paraguay on December 26, 1906, to William Kerr and Sarah Claridge. Her dad had migrated from Australia in the late 1800's. At a young age, Alice moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she became a nurse at the British Hospital. It was there that she met the "love of her life" Christian Thurn-Paulsen of Levanger, Norway.After several wonderful years in Buenos Aires, the family moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where they settled for many years. Eventually, Alice moved to the United States of America to be closer to her family. She was loved and admired by so many and made friends with everyone she met. They married in 1931 and leave to mourn her loss, Astrid Laila Byrkett, Eric T. Ann Paulsen, and Alex T. Paulsen, all residents of the United States of America; grandsons, Gary S. Paulsen and Shane T. Paulsen; granddaughter, Sandra A. Jose Tirado, and Tehane Brown; and great-grandchildren, Ellis and Alina Tirado and Kara Paulsen.Alice was predeceased by her husband, Christian in 1979, and survived by the above mentioned and one step-brother, Albert West and several nephews and nieces, residents of Buenos Aires, Argentina.The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Eventide for their kindness and care during the time she was there.
