Alvern Olson

Alvern Olson, 85, the Fairmont, Moorhead, MN, died on Monday, May 3, 2004, in S.C.C.I. Hospital, Fargo, ND.Alvern Olson was born on July 3, 1918, in Moorhead, MN, to Alvin and Theodora Olness Olson. He grew up and attended rural school at Kragnes, MN, and graduated from Moorhead High School. Alvern joined the U.S. Air Force in 1942, served in WWII and retired in 1964 from the service after twenty two years as a propeller mechanic. He returned to Kragnes and worked at the Kragnes Farmer's Elevator, and took care of his mother following his father's death. He moved to the Fairmont in Moorhead in 1997.Alvern is survived by one brother, Milton Jean Olson, Spokane, WA; and one sister, Ethel Boyd, Mooresville, N.C.
