Ann Poole Jackim

Ann Poole Jackim, 88, Moorhead, MN, died on Monday, March 16, 2015, in her daughter’s home in Fargo under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Ann Johnson was born near Hawley, MN, on April 1, 1926, to Albert and Tillie Hillestad Johnson. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from Hawley High School. She lived in Chicago, IL, briefly and then San Francisco, CA, where she met her first husband William Poole. They were married on November 30, 1947, in Hawley, MN, and made their home in Moorhead, where she joined Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in 1949. He died on October 17, 1964.
Ann married Harry Jackim on June 16, 1968 in Moorhead. She had worked at F-M Printing in Moorhead for seventeen years, retiring in 1985.
Ann had a strong faith and was known for her positive outlook and great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Jackim, Moorhead, MN; sons Thomas Cheslyn Poole, Fargo, ND; John Poole, Minneapolis, MN, and Joel Poole, Moorhead, MN; daughters Mary Stephen Hegland, Las Vegas, NV, and Sue Poole, Fargo, ND and a few “adopted” daughters; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ione Johnson, Hawley, MN; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Poole; two brothers Haaken and Phillip; four sisters Gudren, Sarah, Valborg and Elsie; daughter-in-law Pauline, grandson Kyle Hegland, granddaughter Gena Poole.
Visitation: Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Funeral: Friday, March 20, 2015, at 10:30 A.M. in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
