Antoinette “Teddy” Freeman

Teddy was born March 5, 1929 to Joseph and Carmella Altobello Varriano. She grew up in Dilworth, MN, and graduated from Dilworth Public School. On July 6, 1953, she married Ellis Freeman. Together they made their home in Moorhead, MN. Teddy worked for First National Bank which later became Norwest Bank; she retired in 1991. Teddy and Ellis were very involved with church functions at St Francis de Sales in Moorhead and later at St Mary's in Fargo. She was a member of Catholic Daughters for 50+ years–she was a lifetime member. She enjoyed her years of volunteer work with MeritCare Sanford gift shop and Heirlooms. Family and friends were most important in her life. Teddy's life was enriched by others–family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. She will be missed.Teddy is survived by her children, Michael Freeman, Reneé Freeman, Colleen Woodard, Colette David Kreger, Mary Freeman; grandchildren, Adam, Roy, Eli, Joshua, Shawna Ryan; great-grandchildren, Reonna and McKayla; brothers, Leonard Varriano, Patrick "Pucky" Donna Varriano, Anthony Karel Varriano, Richard Varriano; sisters, Anna Marie Lyle Hornbacher, Philomena Jim Nelson, Elvira Tom Mattioli, Asunta "Sue" Jensen, RoseMarie Wickum, Elizabeth Varriano Marston Jim Finn; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ellis Freeman; her parents; her brothers, Carmen Varriano, John "Blackie" Varriano, Jerry "Moochie" Varriano; and her sister, Delores Varriano.Thank you to medical personnel at Sanford Health for the special care and treatment she received.
