Arlene Larson

Arlene B. Larson, 72, of Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Arbor Park Assisted Living in Moorhead.
Arlene Bertha Papenfuss was born August 23, 1943 in Perham, MN to Herman and Emma Steeke Papenfuss. She graduated from Perham High School in 1961 and then moved to the Twin Cities where she worked in bookkeeping for the next couple of years.
On October 19, 1963 she married Dale Larson at St. John’s Church in Perham MN and they made their home in Dilworth, MN until moving to Moorhead in 1981. Together they had five children. Arlene spent most of her time at home caring for their children, occasionally working some housekeeping and grocery clerk jobs on the side. She loved doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and Bingo.
Arlene is survived by her five children, Dwight Laurie Larson, Glyndon, Wanda Donnie Tostenson, Cando, ND, Daniel Roxanne Larson, Fargo, Sarah Mike O’Rourke, Sauk Rapids, MN and David Larson, Fargo; brothers Edward Elvira Papenfuss, Erhart Carol Papenfuss, and Arland Judy Papenfuss; granddaughters Jessica, Melissa, Kristen, Megan, Emma, Fallon, Berlin and Victoria; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Marie Plachy, and her brother, Robert Papenfuss.
