Carl Hoime

Carl E. Hoime, 84, Comstock, MN, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Essential Health in Fargo.

Carl Edwin Hoime was born September 2, 1930, on the family farm at Comstock, MN, to Edwin and Clarice Taasaas Hoime. He was baptized at Comstock Lutheran Church on October 5, 1930 and confirmed at the church in 1943. In 1949 he graduated from Comstock High School. Carl was inducted into the Army on April 22, 1953 and he served his country for 2 years as a truck driver stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged on April 14, 1955.

On September 19, 1953, Carl married Patricia Asleson in Rustad, MN. They made their home in Comstock, where Carl farmed his entire life. One son, Michael, was born to them on May 26, 1954. Patricia died on May 21, 2015.

In his spare time, Carl loved to spend time hunting and fishing.

Carl is survived by his son, Michael Hoime, Moorhead, and two grandchildren, Brian Hoime and Tiffany Hoime. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother, Denni
