Clayton Larson

Clayton A. Larson, 75, Felton, MN, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.
Clayton was born March 27, 1939, in Felton, MN, to Arthur and Geraldine Mandsager Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen, MN. From grade school through high school he attended schools in Ulen and Everettt, WA, graduating in 1957 from Everett High School. In July 1957 he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp., serving 2 years as a Lance Corporal. He also trained as a tank commander at Camp Pendleton and 29 Palms, CA.
On November 23, 1963 He married Joyce Hahn and they made their home in Everett, WA, Chaffee, ND, Ulen, MN, and Felton, MN.
After his military service, Clayton worked for the Corp. of Engineers surveying dams for wear in Eastern Washington on the Columbia River. Upon moving to Felton in 1971, he was self-employed, building many homes in the area.
Clayton’s hobbies included singing, playing cards, fishing, drawing, old cars, and spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Jo Larson Wayne Tweten, Dilworth, his son, Todd Janice Larson, Glyndon, his daughter, Susan Glenn Roll, Glyndon, Joyce Hahn Larson, Felton, grandchildren Vanessa Abram Jackson, Carnation, WA, Christopher Baumler, Casselton, ND, Casey Larson, Amber Larson, Chad Larson, Dalton Roll, Alissa Roll, Sophia Roll, all of Glyndon and two great-grandchildren, Laela and Chandler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dean Larson, and his sister, Janice Larson Forsberg.
