Dorothy Larson

Dorothy “Dot” Larson, 85, of Moorhead, died on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Bethany Homes in Fargo.
Dorothy was born on July 1, 1930 to Alda and Ted Jore in Hawley MN. She graduated from Lake Park High School and later from St. Luke’s Nursing School of Nursing in 1952.
In 1956, Dorothy married Robert “Bob” Larson at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and they remained in Moorhead. She was the love of his life until June of 2014 when he passed away. She worked primarily as a registered nurse in various capacities at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo for over 35 years until her retirement in 1992.
Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, going to their lake property on Big Pine Lake, and especially baking — providing countless goodies to all her immediate and extended family.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cindy Larson of Moorhead, and her son, Patrick Gioia Larson of New Jersey, two special grand-children, Sierra and Shea, and her siblings, Richard Jore and Marlene Eng.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Michael Larson, as well as her husband, Robert.
