Edith Irene Hedstrom

Edith Irene Berg Hedstrom, 93, of Lake Park, Minnesota passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013, in Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, MN.
Edith Berg was born on November 21st, 1921, in Cormorant Township, MN, to Carl and Hilda Lundstrom Berg. She grew up and attended school in Cormorant Township. She was baptized and confirmed in Parke Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN
Edith married Ogden Hedstrom on November 10, 1945, in Hawley, MN. They resided in rural Lake Park until they retired and moved into Lake Park. They were members of Lake Park Lutheran Church where Edith belonged to the ladies aid and circle.
Edith enjoyed gardening, embroidery, baking and watching Wheel of Fortune. She always had the coffee pot on for relatives, friends and neighbors. Along with her warm friendly cup of coffee, she would offer her famous “grandma bars”.
Edith will be dearly missed by her family, her son Russell Debra Hedstrom, Fargo, ND, grandchildren Barry Hedstrom, Fargo, ND, Wendy Scott Paulsen, Sabin, MN, Brady Carrie Hedstrom, Fargo, ND, Kirby Angie Hedstrom, West Fargo, ND, Jason Cathy Hedstrom, Bemidji, MN, Jeff Shannon Hedstrom, Lincoln, ND, Brian Hedstrom, St. Cloud, MN; and ten great-grandchildren; sister Esther Ness, Detroit Lakes, MN, brother-in-law Irving Softing, Hawley, MN; sister-in-law Ardith Carlson, Detroit Lakes, MN; daughter-in-law Becky Hedstrom, St. Cloud, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ogden, two sons Ronald and Robert Hedstrom; grandson Darren Hedstrom; sister Anna; brothers Gotfred and Einar Buddy.
Visitation: Monday, November 25, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN, and one hour before the funeral in the church.
Funeral: Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at 11:00 A.M., in Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN.
Interment: Lake Park Lutheran Cemetery, Lake Park, MN.
