Elaine Kjonaas

Elaine Olive Amiot Kjonaas April 17th, 1931 – December 1, 2015. Elaine passed away peacefully at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

She was born to the late Armand and Liza Corbin Amiot in Gentilly, MN. Elaine was the 11th of 15 children and grew up in Thief River Falls, MN where she met and married Raymond Kjonaas. They moved to Georgetown, MN where she was a homemaker and raised 6 children.

Elaine will be forever remembered by her devoted brother Clarence and loving sisters Ursula and Theresa, beloved children: Susan Petersen, Dale Rae Kjonaas, Lyle Kjonnas, Lisa Herk Cameron, Larry Kjonaas Cindy and Dayton Kjonaas, caring grandchildren: Paula and James; Michael, Jonathon, Rebekah and Emerald; Jason; Erin, Erica, Shane, BreAnn, Jarod, and Adrean,; Amanda and Cassandra; Tyler, Ashley and Cortney: loving great-grandchildren: Tyanna, Sy’Rai and Genora; Autumn and Kilee; Solomon; Erik; Jordan, Ashley and Fox; Nolan and Kendra; Wylon: and first great-great-grandchild Audree, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her.

She loved weekend camping trips, laughing, being with her family, having fun with friends and of course watching football with her favorite son-in-law. Elaine touched the lives of many people with her contagious laugh and generosity.

Our mother, Elaine, will be greatly missed.

Memorial Service: Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. A memorial gathering will be one hour before the service.
