Evelyn Sandbeck

Evelyn Sandbeck, 92, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, May 14, 2007, in Innovis Health Systems, Fargo, ND, surrounded by her loving family.Evelyn Sandbeck was born on November 6, 1914 to Almound and Karen Johnson, in rural Thief River Falls, MN. She grew up and attended school until the eighth grade in a one room school house in rural Thief River Falls. In the early 1930's she moved to Fargo, following her older sisters. On June 1, 1933 she married Justin Oscar Sandbeck in Fargo, ND, together they had six children. Justin died on January 21, 1976. Evelyn enjoyed word search books, westerns and visiting her daughters every Sunday afternoon. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She is survived by two sons, David and Daniel Sandbeck, both of Fargo, ND; two daughters, Janet Harstad of Fargo, ND and Carole Janisch of Fargo, ND; and two sisters, Kay Huotari and Helen Jensen, both of Ada, MN. Evelyn had 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Justin Sandbeck; two sons, Erick & Donald Sandbeck; two brothers, William and Jens; and seven sisters, Myrtle, Sophie, Julia, Selma, Alice, Gertie, and Lauise.
