Gabriel Nephi Megran

Gabriel Nephi Megran, 30, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Gabriel was born on September 29, 1986 to Jim and Kathleen Rubow Megran in Fargo, ND.

Gabriel could be best described as a spontaneous and fun loving individual. He could instantly befriend anybody, anywhere. He was concerned about those less fortunate, and was always willing to take them in and consider them a friend. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it, and if you had a problem with anything, Gabriel would be there to help you out of it.

Gabriel was the one in the family that brought home all the family pets. Whether it was dogs or cats, birds or bunnies, he had an affinity towards animals. He was always concerned for the animals in the yard and would jump up at the opportunity to make sure they were fed. Gabriel will be remembered for his huge, loving heart.

Gabriel is survived by his wife, Emily West; mother, Kathy Megran; siblings, Heidi Spradlin, Dominique Megran, Jason Robin Megran, Jeromy Megran, Sarah Megran, Shawn Megran, and Ezra Megran; nephews, Jacob, Jordan, and Jaren Spradlin; niece, Lucy Megran; and many other loving relatives and friends. Gabriel is preceded in death by his father, Jim Megran.

Service: Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 204 Pelican River Rd, Detroit Lakes, MN, 56501, at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

Burial: Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Hawley Cemetery in Hawley, MN following the service in Detroit Lakes.
