Gladys Keller

Gladys Keller, 88, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Minot, ND, and Karlsruhe, ND, passed away on January 30, 2016 with family beside her. Born on
September 17, 1927, the oldest daughter of Leo and Martha Kujawa, in Milwaukee, WI. She was educated and grew up in Milwaukee. On July 3, 1946 she married Ben A. Keller and after a couple years of employment in Milwaukee they moved to Karlsruhe, ND. In 1951 they had a house moved to what would become their family farmstead south of Karlsruhe where together they farmed, raised livestock and six sons. After Ben’s death on October 31, 1991, Gladys remained on the farm for a short time, before moving to Minot where she remained until moving to an Assisted Living Facility in Moorhead, MN, where she resided until her passing. Gladys loved nothing more than family get togethers and listening to her boys talk about their farm adventures.
She is survived by her sons, Eugene Cindy, Jackson, WI, Larry Martha, Hazen, ND, Duane Cleone, Fargo, ND, Dale Peggy, Minot, ND, Don, Rugby, ND, and Terry of Sioux Falls, SD; her sister Ardene Ken Kowalski of Milwaukee, WI, 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren as, well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Thanks to Polly Keller, weekly day helper for Gladys while in Fargo, and a very special thank you to granddaughters Michelle and Lori for staying and caring for Gladys during her final days.
At Gladys’ request there will be a memorial service on May 7, 2016 at 1 P.M. at St. Peters and Paul Church in Karlsruhe, ND.
