Glenn Kuehl

Glenn P. Kuehl 89, Glyndon, MN, died on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at his home.

Glenn was born in Sabin, MN, on November 18, 1927, to Johnnie and Francis Kuehl. He attended school in Glyndon. He entered the U.S. Army in February, 1946. He was part of the Army of Occupation in Japan.

Glenn married Mildred Oberg on November 25, 1950, in Concordia Lutheran Church, rural Glyndon. They made their home and raised their four sons on the Kuehl family farm in rural Glyndon. He was a member of Glyndon Lutheran Church. Glenn and Millie enjoyed their winters in Mesa, Arizona, and Summers on Pelican Lake, Pelican Rapids, MN.

Glenn attended Ag School after returning home from serving in the Army and began farming with his brothers, Vernus and Norman. He continued to farm for 42 years. He served on the Glyndon Farmers Elevator Board and the Moorhead Factory District Board for American Crystal Sugar. Glenn was a member of the American Legion Post 21 in Moorhead.

Glenn continued to be an important part of the farm by checking crops on his daily drive to the farm. He truly enjoyed watching his sons and grandsons continue the tradition of farming. He found great joy and pride in watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. He was well loved and will be deeply missed.

Glenn is survived by; 3 sons Bob Debbie Kuehl, Dilworth, Wayne Kathy Kuehl, Audubon, Fred Angie Kuehl, Glyndon. 12 grandchildren; Brian Laurie Kuehl, Kevin Kuehl, Sara Jason Weis, Jamie Kuehl, Lindsey Kevin Olson, Erin Kuehl, Krissy Mark Arneson, Brett Kuehl, Bradley Jenna Kuehl, Troy Stacie Kuehl, Spencer Brittany Kuehl, Tayler Jade Leysring. 15 great-grandchildren; Tanner & Keaton Weis, Tylan, Jozie, & Eli Myklebust, Hanley & Hudson Olson, Brooklyn, Austen, & Savannah Kuehl, Tucker & Ryan Kuehl, Bria & Jay Kuehl, and Jackson Arneson. 2 sisters; Arlene Donald Holm, Lake Park, and LaVon Ford, Hawley.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, Norman Kuehl and Vernus Kuehl, sister, Jeanette Knutson, son, Dale Kuehl, and daughter-in-law, Tracy Kuehl.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 26, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
