Glenn Marvig

Glenn S. Marvig, 54, of Sweetwater, TX, formerly Hawley, MN, died Saturday, September 3, 2016, in Fort Morgan, CO.

Glenn Scott Marvig was born July 1, 1962 in Moorhead, MN, to Clifford and Rhoda Anderson Marvig. He graduated from Hawley High School in 1980 and worked a variety of jobs in sales, transportation and manufacturing. Over the years he was employed by the Hawley Elevator, Conlins Furniture, Gateway, Muscatell, Transystems and Transport Inc. Glenn had a strong work ethic and was very proud of all his work, but he was especially proud of the time he spent working for Myles Lorentz building roads for the largest wind tower farm in Nolan County, TX. Most recently, Glenn was driving truck for Reliant Holdings in Midland, TX, where he had been employed for the past 6 years.

Glenn married Carolyn Barta on February 21, 1998. They lived for a time in Sioux Falls, SD, Hawley, MN and finally moved to Sweetwater, TX in 2010.

Glenn took great pride in everything that he did, and in his spare time he enjoyed spending time outdoors, landscaping and caring for his yard, cooking on the barbeque, collecting cars and motorcycles, and playing golf-he was proud of getting a hole-in-one. He loved to travel, but he also loved to spend time at home with his family and friends. His greatest pride and joy in his life were his wife and two children-they truly were his world. Glenn will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, Sweetwater, TX; his daughter, Megan Marvig, Minneapolis, MN; and his son, Brandon Marvig, Sweetwater, TX. He is also survived by his mother, Rhoda Evanson, Hawley; his brothers, Mark Mary Marvig, Fertile, MN, and Dave Tina Marvig, Crooks, SD; his uncle, Steven Anderson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.
