Gloria Fortier

Gloria Ann Fortier, 92, Fargo, ND, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in ManorCare, Fargo, ND.
Gloria Ann Adamy was born November 8, 1924, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Maurice and Irene Redding Adamy. She grew up and attended school there. Her family moved out west to support the war effort and she moved in with a family in Moorhead, where she graduated from Moorhead High School. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone in Fargo.
Gloria married Lawrence Fortier on November 23, 1946 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead and they made their home in Fargo.
Gloria had worked at the NDSU Bookstore for many years.
She is survived by her son Terry Fortier, Fargo, ND; three grandchildren Cade Fortier, Plymouth, MN, Carmen Marcus Hanson, Delano, MN, and Bill Rachelle Fortier, Fargo, ND; and three great-grandchildren Leo and Alice Hanson and Penelope Fortier; sisters Betty Paul Sather, El Cajon, CA, and Beverly Fay, Moorhead.
A private graveside service will be held. No other services are planned.
