Gloria Lopez

Gloria Lopez, 69, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 in St. Mary’s Mayo Clinic Hospital, Rochester, MN.

Gloria Cisneros was born on Nov. 15, 1946, to Isidro and Adela Ramon Cisneros in Wauseon, OH. She grew up mostly in Texas, moving around a lot with her family. Gloria was a very hard worker, working with her family since a young age. She met Alberto Serrano Lopez while working together, and they later married on Feb. 27, 1965. They eventually made their home in Washington for about 20 years, where Gloria worked at the Carnation factory. In 1987 they moved to Moorhead, MN, where they have lived since and Gloria stayed home to raise their seven children.

Gloria loved to play Bingo and watch novelas, Spanish soap operas. She also enjoyed her sweets. Gloria was a very caring, loving, loyal and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. Family was always the most important to her, she will be missed dearly.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 50 years, Alberto Serrano Lopez; her children, Maria De La Luz Gonzalez, Alberto St. Martin Jo Genia Lopez, Betty Ann Lopez Ricardo Garces, Ruben Mirella Lopez, Francisco Precilia Lopez, Isidro Patty Lopez and Sylvia Lopez Iinkous; eight siblings, Jacinto Cisneros, Maria Valdez, Angela Guerrero, Clara Garcia, Carmen Delgado, Janie Saldana, Jose Cisneros, Oscar Cisneros; 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isidro and Adela Cisneros.

Funeral Service: Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
