James “Jim” Hillstead

James “Jim” Hillstead, age 89, of Moorhead, died on Saturday, December 6, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Betty Hillstead; loving father of Kelly Hillstead and his wife Susanne Finke, and Tamera Hillstead; grandfather of Samantha Hillstead and Brandon Bierle; brother of Earl Hillstead and his wife Marcy, Bob Hillstead and his wife Jean; close uncle of Julie Coulter and her husband Jarett, Melanie Berg and her husband David, Shelly Moteberg and her husband Myron, the late Ross Hillstead and his wife Chris. Jim had a long career at Ford Motor Company, was a Staff Sargent in the Army/Airforce on a B-17 in WWII. Jim and Betty lived in Floral Lakes, FL for 20 years. As Treasurer of the social club he helped raise local scholarships funds and was a say no to drugs advocate. All who knew and loved him will miss him dearly.
