Janet Videen

Janet Videen, 72, of Vergas, MN, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015, in Hawley Senior Living, Hawley, MN. Janet was born March 11, 1943, in Walhalla, ND, to Alex and Florella Thomson Cavalier. She married Joe Videen on April 23, 1962. They lived in Moorhead, MN. Janet worked at Eventide Nursing Home until she had a stroke in 1992. Janet loved being with family, playing cards, doing puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and loved listening to Polka music. She always had a smile on her face and loved talking about her great-grandson, Hunter.

Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Davis; great-grandson, Carter Hauge; parents, Alex and Flo; sisters, Ruth Cavalier, Judy Braddock and Sandy Strickland; brother, Rodney Cavalier; and brother-in-law, Donnie Videen.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter, Brenda Videen of Moorhead, MN; son, Duane Vonee of West Fargo, ND; grandkids, Kelly Davis of Wichita Falls, TX, Kevin Ashley Davis of Sheridan, WY, Kayla Brandon Hauge of West Fargo, ND, Justin Videen of West Fargo, ND; great-grandson, Hunter Hauge of West Fargo, ND; four brothers, Ronnie LaVonne of Staples, MN, Gordy Jackie of St. Francis, MN, Roger of Perham, MN and Terry of West Fargo, ND; five sisters, Eloise Cal Shultes of Perham, MN, Wanda Ron Wallace of New York Mills, MN, Sally Cavalier of Minneapolis, MN, Linda Marty Engelbrit of Andover, MN, Sherry Pat Richards of New York Mills, MN; four brothers-in-law, Gary Beatrice Videen of Bloomington, MN, Bob Judy Videen of Moorhead, MN, Steve Gloria Videen of Crookston, MN, Wes Linda Briggs of Kindred, ND; sister-in-law, Lynn Cavalier of Coon Rapids, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
