Jerome “Jerry” Kuehl

Jerome “Jerry” Kuehl, 78, of Moorhead, passed away on May 27, 2014 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease, under the care of his wife and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Jerry was born May 24, 1936 in Moorhead to Ferdinand and Lela Tabatt Kuehl. He graduated from high school in Glyndon, MN. Jerry was a foreman for the construction company Abbot-Arne-Schwindt in Moorhead for 53 years. Jerry married Dorothy Getz on January 9, 1959 in Sabin, MN and they had two daughters. Due to his job in the construction trade they travelled extensively throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota but they settled down in Moorhead once the girls started school. Jerry and Dorothy also spent a few years travelling in Florida in their motor home.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy, and his daughters, June Gallery, of Palm Harbor, FL, and Joann Bishop, of Glendale, AZ. He is also survived by his siblings Marvin Beverly Kuehl, of Moorhead, Ronald Kuehl, of Glyndon, and Donald Kuehl, of Portland, OR, Lois Motschenbacher, of Moorhead, Beverly Edenborg, of Moorhead and Karen Hegge, of Moorhead; sister-in-law Edde Kuehl, of Moorhead, and aunt Dorothy Tabatt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Evelyn Bergman, Sharon Stubstad, Glenice Larson, and brothers Clifford Kuehl and Duane Kuehl.
Dorothy would like to thank the staff of Hospice of the Red River Valley and Active At Home Helpers for the wonderful, compassionate care that they provided to Jerry.

Funeral Service: Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
Interment: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Sabin, MN.
