Jon Matthew Hansen

Jon Matthew Hansen, 62, Moorhead, MN, died on Monday, September 5, 2016, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Jon was born on March 1, 1954 in Moorhead, MN, to Norman and Lillian Anderson Hansen. He grew up and attended school in Moorhead and Hawley, MN. He married Karen Longtine in February of 1973 and they lived in various Minnesota communities. They later divorced. Jon married Linda Longtine and they lived in Colorado and then Kalispell, MT for many years. Linda died on January 16, 2004.
In 2009 he moved to Duluth, MN, to attend the Lighthouse Center for Vision Loss, where he met his wife, Terri. They were married on May 24, 2013 and made their home in Duluth until 2015 when his kidneys failed and he had to go on dialysis, prompting a move to Moorhead, MN.
For 33 years, Jon had made his living as an over the road trucker.
He is survived by his wife, Terri, Moorhead, MN; three children Jon Hansen, Moorhead, MN, Jennifer Hansen, Moorhead, MN, and Josh Hanson Alicia Hendrickson, Kalispell, MT; step-daughter Amanda Brian Remer Regenscheid; step-son Tom Fiance’ Samantha Jaeger Regenscheid; two grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; one brother Darrell Mary Ann Hansen, Littleton, CO; three sisters Margaret McCambridge, Moorhead, MN, Naomi Tim Neil, Billings, MT, and Martha Jeff Linder, Moorhead, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Linda; sister Mary Ellen; special cousin Pat Andersen; and nephew Ryan Neil.
Memorial Service: Monday, September 12, 2016, at 1:30 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Friends may gather for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
