Judy Ann Boen

Judy Ann Boen, 71, of Moorhead, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in her home surrounded by family. Judy was born on January 21, 1946 to Clarence and Marjie Westphal Rossow in Hankinson, ND.

Judy graduated from Hankinson High School, Hankinson, ND, in 1964. After her graduation, she moved to Moorhead, MN. She then married Russell Boen on June 1, 1968 in rural Claire City, South Dakota. Judy worked at Herbergers for 25 years and enjoyed her coworkers and customers very much so. Judy was a lifelong member of the VFW Aux Post 1223, Moorhead, MN.

Judy and Russell purchased a lot on Turtle Lake in 1968 and built a cabin in 1973. Visiting the lake was one of Judy’s favorite pastimes. She also enjoyed bowling, birdwatching, gardening and working with flowers. Above all, Judy loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her husband, Russell Boen; children, Daniel Boen, and Justin Susan Boen; granddaughters, Jaden and Abbygale Boen; grandson Jordan Feigert; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Marjie; brothers, Keith and Jeff Rossow.

Visitation: Sunday, April 23, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN from 2:00PM to 4:00PM with a prayer service at 4:00PM.

Service: Monday, April 24, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN at 11:00AM.

Burial: Monday, April 24, following services at Moorhead Memorial Gardens in Moorhead, MN.
