Karolina “Elenore” Dovenmuehler

Karolina Elenore Hungate was born December 25, 1940 to Charles and Freda Langnaese Hungate in Cavalier, ND. Her father worked for the railroad and they moved several times before making their home in Staples, MN. She was known to all as Elenore. She graduated from Staples High School and then attended Wahpeton State School of Science.
Elenore married Earl Dovenmuehler February 13, 1959. They lived in Wadena, MN for a time prior to making their home in Glyndon, MN. She was a cook at MSUM for 27 years.
Elenore’s greatest joy was her grandchildren and attending their events. She was always the first person in the stands at sporting events, cheering them on.
Elenore is survived by her husband, Earl, of Moorhead; four children, Debra Mike Hofer, Fargo, Timothy, Moorhead, Robert Traci, Lake Park, MN, Kristi Willy Hofer, Moorhead; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Friends and family may gather from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Following the service, there will be a lunch and remembrance in the community room at Park View Terrace, 100 3rd St. N. Moorhead.
