Kenneth Muhle

Kenneth W. Muhle, 89, Moorhead, MN, died on Thursday, September 21, 2017, in Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND.

Kenneth Muhle was born in Moorhead, MN, on February 15, 1928 to Oscar and Minnie Helseth Muhle. He attended elementary school in Glyndon, MN and graduated from Glyndon High School.

He was baptized on May 27, 1928 and confirmed on June 29, 1941 in Glyndon Lutheran Church.

Ken entered the service on January 10, 1949. He served in the Korean War as a machine gun sergeant in the U.S. Army.

He married Lois Adams on December 28, 1949 in Glyndon Lutheran Church. Kenny and Lois lived in Seattle, Washington; Averill, MN; Glyndon and Moorhead, MN. Ken worked for Rusco Window Co. before starting his own window company-Thermo Products.

Kenny loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He never turned down a good card game with friends. He sang in a men’s quartet and the church choir. Ken and Lois spent many Saturday nights at the Fargo Elks Club dancing. After retirement, they spent winters in Arizona and Texas.

His favorite place was their lake cabin on Big Cormorant where he spent time with his family and friends. Many memories were made there with his kids, grandkids and eventually great-grandkids.

He was an awesome husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa!

Ken is survived by his wife, Lois, Moorhead; 1 son: Gary Muhle, Omaha, NE; 3 daughters: Kathy Wayne Kuehl, Audubon, MN; Janet Chuck Marks, Belgrade, MN; Sherri Jon Austvold, Spicer, MN 13 grandchildren: Scott Shawn Muhle, Karen Dustin Ness, Kyle Claire Muhle, Sara Jason Weis, Jamie Kuehl, Lindsey Kevin Olson, Adam Kim Marks, Katie Marks, Abby Marks, Chase Austvold, Treyton Austvold, Espi Austvold and Sophi Austvold. 15 Great- Grandchildren: Ryan, Rowan and Nolan Muhle, Elliot, Flynn and Ferris Ness, Tanner and Keaton Weis, Tylan, Jozie, and Eli Myklebust, Hanley and Hudson Olson, Dani and Bridger Marks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Ole, Norman, LeRoy, Orville, Donald, Harold, and Vernon Muhle. Sisters; Selma Weatherford, Evelyn Cannon and Ethel Muhle.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 26, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, with prayer service at 6:30 PM, in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.

Funeral: Wednesday, September 27, at 11:00 AM, in Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
