Lee Henry Weets, 86, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Lee was born October 8, 1928 at Pipestone, Minnesota to Harold and Zena Olthoff Weets. He grew up and went to country school in the Calloway and Ogema area. He worked at various jobs over the years with farming being his main occupation and passion for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Hawley; his daughter Ronda Rick Thorne of Malabar, Florida; his step-daughters, Cheryl Bill Gottenborg, Hawley, and LouAnn Tim Olsen, Lake Park; his stepson Verlyn Ulrich, Palmer, Alaska; his grandchildren, Tabitha TimBergman, Breanne Cody Marshall, Kyle Amy Weets, Megan Miller, Andrew Gottenborg, Tyler Olsen, Kerby Jacki Weets, and Kaitlynn Gottenborg; 8 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Darlene Gene Kohler of Detroit Lakes, Lorraine Jim Nelson of Minneapolis, Shirley McNeely of St. Louis, and Eileen Gordon Torgerud of Delano; and his brother, Delbert Sue Weets of Carlton; many nieces and nephews; several relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Weets; his wife, Geraldine Weets; his brothers Harold Weets and Dennis Weets; and his sisters Gertrude Kantouth and Jenny Jobe.

Memorial service: Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Lysne Lutheran Church in Hawley. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
