Linda Tjaden

Linda Hintzen Tjaden, 61, of Fargo, went home to the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 28, 2015, while under the care of her daughter, Barbara, in her home.
Linda was born April 14, 1954, in Perham, MN to Kenneth and Viola Rapatt Hendrickson. She grew up with her parents and siblings near Wolf Lake, MN. She graduated from Frazee High School in 1972. Linda married Randy Hintzen on July 14, 1973 at Bethany Lutheran near Menahga. They lived in various places in the area and Linda was most known for her many years as a waitress in various area restaurants. Her first job as a waitress was in a little café in Menahga, then she worked at Erie Junior, Perkins and Main Street in Detroit Lakes, Smokey’s in Hawley, and Spanky’s on Rose Lake in Vergas. She also worked as a waitress and then manager at Country Kitchen in D.L. before going to work as a cashier at L & M Fleet in D.L. She worked there until she had to give up her job due to cancer. She was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee and the women’s guild, until moving to Fargo and joining Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Moorhead.
Linda was such a light to everyone she met and always had a smile or word of encouragement to brighten a customer’s day. Her faith in her Lord Jesus gave her strength and hope as she fought a hard 2-year battle with cancer.
She is survived by her twin sister, Lois Mitchell Ballard, Ogema, MN; daughter, Barbara Hintzen, Fargo; identical twin sons, Bruce Shera Hintzen , Rapid City, SD and Brandon Hintzen, Sabin, MN; grandchildren, Cory, Kaily, Dylan and Skylar Hintzen; brothers, Dale Rita Hendrickson and Kelly Karilyn Hendrickson, both of Menagha, MN and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and former husbands, Randy Hintzen and Bruce Tjaden.
