Margaret Bjerke Anderson

Margaret Bjerke Anderson, 94, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at Manor Care Health Care, Fargo, ND. Margaret was born January 1, 1917 with her twin sister Mary to Carl and Selma Bjerke. She was born and attended school in Lake Park, MN. At 29 she moved to Portland, OR and was a house keep. In Portland, she met Ernest L. Anderson from Hitterdal, MN. They were united in marriage December 15, 1951 in Lake Park, where they farmed for eight years. Margaret was mainly a homemaker raising two children, but did seasonal work at Lefseland and Carl's Lefse in Hawley, MN. After farming in Lake Park, they lived in Glyndon, MN, Hawley, MN and Moorhead, MN. Margaret enjoyed visitors, family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, flowers and gardening. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Charles Christensen and son, Don Hope Anderson, both of Moorhead, MN; two granddaughters, Jess Fred Bentz, Bismarck, ND and Amber Anderson, Moorhead, MN; great-grandson, Finlee Bentz.She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Anderson; parents, Carl and Selma Bjerke; twin sister, Mary Erickson.
