Mary Lou Smith

Mary Lou Smith, 72, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at home in Fargo. Mary Lou was born November 2, 1942, in Fargo, ND, to Edward and Ione Ronsberg Krueger. She grew up and attended school in West Fargo, and later graduated from Fargo Central High School. She then continued her education at Dakota Business College. On June 22, 1963, Mary Lou married Henry “Hank” Smith. Together they made their home in Fargo and started a family. Over the years she worked for the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Dept., and later for the Arthritis Foundation. They later moved to Detroit Lakes, MN, after retiring. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at casinos, and being at the lake. Most of all, however, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Hank; daughter, Pam Harlow Wise; grandchildren, Olivia Wise, Brian Wise and Amanda Morlock; great-granddaughter, Amelia Wise; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deanna Morlock; and parents, Edward and Ione.

Visitation: Monday, July 27, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., with prayer service at 8 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Tuesday, July 28, at 1:00 p.m., in Olivet Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND.

Interment: Zion Cemetery, rural Barnesville, MN.
