Maryann Ullrich

MaryAnn Ullrich, age 64, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011, in Sanford Health's Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND, after a valiant 2 1/2 year battle with cancer with her loving family by her side.MaryAnn Olheiser was born on April 29, 1946, in Napoleon, ND to Frank and Barbara Wald Olheiser. She grew up and attended St. Anthonys Catholic school in Linton, ND. After high school she worked at Renschlers Cafe in Linton where she met the love of her life. On September 6, 1965, she married Dale Ullrich in Linton, ND. After their marriage, they moved to Lake Park, Morris, Dilworth, then to Glyndon where they have resided for the past 38 years. MaryAnn worked various jobs as a waitress and operated her cleaning business all while providing day care for her grandchildren for the past 20 years. MaryAnn enjoyed her flower gardens, bird watching, collecting angels and an occasional trip to bingo or the casino. Most importantly, she enjoyed family celebrations and being "Granny" to her beloved grandchildren. MaryAnn will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Blessed be the memory of MaryAnn Ullrich.She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dale Ullrich of Glyndon, MN; two sons, Brian Cindy Ullrich of Barnesville, MN and Byron Ullrich of Glyndon, MN; two daughters, Barbara Michael Howard of Horace, ND and Brenda Bret Offutt of Glyndon, MN; three brothers, Joe Alice Olheiser of Strasburg, ND, Mike Bernie Olheiser of West Fargo, ND and Tony Olheiser of Linton, ND; two sisters, Betty Bosch of Linton, ND and Barbara Geisen Gary Prouty of Grand Forks, ND; five grandchildren, Joshua and Natasha Ullrich, Dylan and Evan Just and Zane Offutt; three step-granddaughters, Rachel, Jessica and Ashley Howard and one step-great-grandson, Jamon and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George.A special thank you to all the medical staff who cared for MaryAnn and a very special thanks to Kathryn, who's angelic voice carried our beloved home.
