Myron Frojen

Mike Lubby Frojen, 84, Fargo, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, in Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, MN.

Myron Dennis Frojen Mike or Lubby was born June 5, 1932, in Glover, ND, to Arthur and Hilda Johnson Frojen. He was the youngest of their six children. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1950. Myron served in the US Army for two years, returned to Moorhead, married, and began a life-long career with Western Electric and AT&T, where he traveled extensively working coast-to-coast.

Myron married Mary Stiening July 17, 1953. They made their home in Moorhead where they raised their family. Mike cared diligently for his aging parents and, later in retirement, took a strong and active role in his grandchildren’s busy lives. He could be seen enjoying their football, basketball, hockey, and soccer games as well as horse shows, tennis matches, and track meets. He enjoyed his ten-mile minimum! bike rides into his early ’80’s. He worked hard at staying physically active.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Johnson, Detroit Lakes, and Pam Opdahl, Norwood Young America, MN; seven grandchildren, Jennifer David Kath, Blake Kelly Johnson, Scott Sara Johnson, Katie Nolan Braun, Lyle Opdahl, Kristine Masseth and Shelley Masseth; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Corinne and Bonnie, three brothers Jay, Bruce, and Sid, daughter Kathryn Masseth, and son-in-law, Jeff Opdahl.

Memorial Service: Tuesday, July 5, 2016, 3:30 pm, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.

Friends may gather for one hour before the service at Wright Funeral Home.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
