Myrtle Ness Paranto

Myrtle Ness Paranto, 87, Bethany Gables, Fargo, ND, died there under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Myrtle Lattimore was born on October 27, 1925, in Benedict, ND, to Theodore and Ellen Johnson Lattimore. She grew up and attended school there. Myrtle married Gene Ness on February 28, 1947, and they made their home in Moorhead, MN. He died on August 28, 1970. In the early 1970’s Myrtle owned the Pikes Bay Resort on Big Cormorant Lake. She married Emery Paranto on October 15, 1982 and they lived in Hillsboro, Oregon. Following his death, she returned to the Fargo-Moorhead area. She had lived at One Oak Place and then moved to Bethany Gables in February of 2013. Myrtle enjoyed spending time at the lake.
She is survived by her sons, David friend Connie Beyer Ness, Dilworth, MN, and Gary Jan Ness, Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ness, Kam Brent Tuck, Charles Ness, and Paul Ness; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Morris, Venoy, Elmo, Reuben, and Teddy; and one sister, Mildred.
Memorial service: Monday, May 13, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead. Friends may gather for one hour before the service in the funeral home.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
