Richard Steidl

Richard James Steidl April 12, 1940 – November 26, 2011Richard was born and raised near Fingal, ND. He went into the service in 1958 where he achieved the rank of Staff Sargeant. He was discharged in 1964. From there he went to business college, and while working at Firestone in Fargo earned a four-year degree at NDSU for Electrical Engineering. He worked at Honeywell for a short time before he started at Ottertail Power Company in 1969. While working for Ottertail, he earned his MBA from Moorhead State and retired in 1998.Richard married his soul mate Joyce Lubitz in 1968. Together they enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, and being with family. He is survived by his wife Joyce, four children: Richard Jr. Kristi Steidl of Eagle, ID, Tonia Vincent Greener of Scott Air Force Base, IL, Kary John O'Hanlon of Maple Grove, MN, and Kyle Jessica Steidl of Mitchell, SD. He is also survived by his mother Cecelia Steidl, his brothers Jim Karen Steidl, Tom Steidl, Bill Joanne Steidl, Tony Steidl, and his sister Julie Chris Hemmah.His eight grandchildren and twins on the way were his pride and joy.
