Roger Keeping

Roger K. Keeping, 65, Moorhead, MN, died in his home in Moorhead on June 20, 2012.Roger was born on May 28, 1947, in Moorhead, to Richard and Arlit Doran Keeping. He grew up and attended school in Hawley, MN. He was baptized at Hawley Lutheran Church on July 22, 1948, and confirmed there also. He graduated from Hawley High School in 1965. He attended Moorhead Area Technical Institute and then served in the U.S. Navy for two years.Roger married Claris Johnson in 1969, they had two children, Byron and Brenda, and later divorced. He had worked for American Crystal Sugar, Herzog Roofing and helped farm at Hallock, MN.Roger is survived by his son, Byron Keeping, Detroit Lakes, MN; daughter, Brenda Keeping, Fergus Falls, MN; brother Douglas Marsha Keeping, Hawley, MN; sisters DeVonne Walters, Hawley, MN, and Rebecca Gary Hilliard, Glyndon, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.
