Theresa Larson

Theresa M Larson, 81, of Moorhead, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

Theresa May Seley was born December 10, 1935, in Barnesville, MN, to Henry and Lydia Anderson Seley. She grew up in Audubon, MN and graduated from Audubon High School. On March 3, 1956, she was united in marriage to Leonard Larson in Audubon and they made their home in Watertown, SD. In the fall of 1959 they moved to Moorhead where they would raise their 5 children.

Theresa worked for Hornbacher’s in Moorhead for many years, and after her retirement there, she worked for Dakota Boy’s Ranch Thrift Store for many more years, finally retiring in December of 2015 at the age of 80.

Theresa’s greatest passion in her life was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending many years on Big Cormorant Lake as a family.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Mark Deb Larson, Moorhead, Kristy Paul Douglas, Dilworth, Patty Terry Doeden, Hawley, Lori Chris Wixo, Lake Park, Kari Barry Lindblom, Pelican Rapids; her sister, Maxine Bruce Larkin, Moorhead; her brother, George Sharon Seley, Audubon; sisters-in-law, Marcia Seley and Lucille Tollefson; grandchildren, Matt and Tyler Larson, Patrick and Jared Douglas, Travis and Michael Doeden, Cole Liz, Jesse and Wyatt Wixo, Sammi and Sean Sapa, and John Lindblom; and great-grandchildren, Lydia, Molly, and August Wixo. She is also survived by Jim Barbara Anderson and Lorraine Anderson as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard; her sister, Bonnie Haefner, and her brother, Henry Seley.

There will be a memorial gathering on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 4-6 P.M. with a time for sharing of memories at 6 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Moorhead.
