Vickey Schneider

Vickey Lynn Schneider, 56, passed away unexpectedly in her home in Moorhead, MN on Monday, November 2nd, 2015. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, after a life long battle with multiple health issues, Vickey was welcomed into her heavenly home with open arms by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Vickey was born on April 21, 1959 in Fargo, ND, the second of three children, to Wesley and Pearl Helm. She was raised with her older sister and younger brother, was active in gymnastics and attended school in north Fargo where she graduated from Fargo North High School in 1977.

She met her husband, Scott Schneider, while they attended college at Oak Hills Bible College in Bemidji, MN and they were married in Fargo on June 16, 1979. Their first home was made in Fargo but they moved to the country outside of Felton, MN in 1983. Vickey loved the peace and solitude of country living where she enjoyed being outside planting and gardening as well as being a stay-at-home Mom for her three children. Vickey did work several short term positions during the period of 1978 through 1989 at several nursing homes in the FM area where she provided personal care to her patients whom she cared for deeply.

Vickey and her family moved to Moorhead, MN in 1991 where she continued her love for gardening and raising her children. Vickey began working for Dakota Clinic Essentia Health as an admissions and registration representative in 1993. There she made close friends with coworkers and was a dedicated employee with an impeccable work ethic. She was there for 19 years before she left in 2012 due to health related issues.

Vickey was a beautiful woman, full of deep love for her family and a spitfire of a personality. A woman of great strength and courage, she was admired and respected for her tenacity and perseverance in life. She loved spending time with her family and always put them first before anything else in her life, including her health.

Vickey is survived by her husband Scott, her oldest daughter Sarah Schneider St. Paul, MN, her son Matthew Schneider Fargo, her youngest daughter Amanda Schneider Fargo, her mother Pearl, her sister Kathy Brandt Roseau, MN, her brother Wesley Helm Jr., Fargo, her 3 grandsons whom she adored: Peyton Wentz St. Paul, Elijah Schneider Fargo & Isaac Schneider Fargo, and Matthew’s partner and mother of grandsons Elijah & Isaac, Trista Peterman Fargo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles, in- law’s and her close friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Wesley Sr.
