Wannitta Haugtvedt

October 19, 1932 — June 3, 2012

Wannitta was born October 19, 1932, to William and Anna Jore Yarbrough, south of Hawley, MN. She grew up and attended school in Hitterdal, graduating from Hitterdal High School. She married Alfred Haugtvedt on March 17, 1951, in Hawley. Together they raised a family of four children. Wannitta worked for Lakes Publishing, Silver Line and Hawley Senior Living for over twenty years until her retirement.She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting and bingo. She used her talents and over the years made many beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her wit, smile and the love she gave her family. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.A special thank you to the members of Hospice of the Red River Valley and Sanford's Palliative Care Unit.Wannitta is survived by her daughters, Alverna Ron Kasin, Hawley, MN, Debra Joe Barta, Hawley, MN; sons, Douglas Mary, Hensler, ND, Darwin Kari, Hawley, MN; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, William "Billy" Yarbrough, Hawley, MN, Herbert Donna Yarbrough, Hitterdal, MN; and sister, Darlene Jim Cash; sister-in-law, Janet Yarbrough; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Edmund Yarbrough.
