Peggy Ann “Annie” (Lenzmeier) Bergquist left this world on April 3, 2022, and entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
Annie was born March 4, 1958, in Fargo, ND, to Gene and Marilyn Lenzmeier. She grew up and attended school and college in Moorhead.
Annie married her high school sweetheart, William Walter “Bill” Bergquist in 1979. They made their home in Moorhead, where they raised their family as God blessed them with two precious children: Michael Lowell and Marissa Lee; and God added to that blessing with their chosen spouses and the arrival of grandchildren. Annie was very actively involved in her children’s lives, serving on committees at school, at church, and as parent coordinator for many of their activities and teams. Annie worked at MSUM for 41 years, serving with deep “Dragon Pride.”
Annie was committed to her Christian faith and ministry callings, using her God-given talents of Caregiving and Encouragement to the fullest. She delighted in the challenges and opportunities presented to her throughout her life. She was a loving and supportive Wife, caring and nurturing Mother and Grandmother, devoted Daughter, Sister, and Friend. She deeply appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed time with family and friends with whom she shared her adventurous journey on this earth. She cherished the joy that her children and grandchildren brought to her life. She was an active member of her church where she served as a Stephen Minister, providing caring outreach to many people. Gifted in hospitality and preparing meals, hosting many events at her home, enjoying quality time with family and friends, Annie was warm and inviting, kind and caring, fully embracing life.
Annie is survived by her husband, Bill Bergquist; children, Michael Bergquist and Marissa (Mark) Iverson; grandchildren, Jared Michael, Jacey Marie, and Kaylee JoAnn Bergquist; brothers, Paul (Susann) Lenzmeier, Tom (Suzanne) Lenzmeier, Kevin (Jody) Lenzmeier, and Gene (Larissa) Lenzmeier; sisters, Pamela Laughing Waters (Jim), and Stefne (Mat) Broz; sisters-in-law, LeeAnn (Bud), Jeannie (Kenny), Lori (Jonnie); nieces and nephews; and dear and precious friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
