April May Cusey

April M. Cusey, 51, of Moorhead, MN, died March 28, 2024, at Sanford Health Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

April May McMillan was born April 5th, 1973, in Savannah, Georgia to Judy & Charles McMillan. In her younger years she spent a lot of time in Crookston, MN and Moorhead, MN. After moving back into the Fargo/Moorhead area she began starting her family. Her oldest daughter Amara passed away and April went on to have 4 more children, William “Billy”, Christina, Matthew, and Ashley.

April loved spending time with her family and friends. April was a very outgoing and lovable person. She loved watching murder shows in her comfy clothes. April will be missed by everyone who knew her. April has been fighting multiple illnesses for years which ultimately ended up taking her life. 

She is survived by her four children, William (Billy) Cusey, Christina Cusey, Matthew Peterson, and Ashley Peterson all of Moorhead, MN; Nam Sabir of Valley City, ND; her niece, Savanna Hetler-Salinas of Glyndon, MN and lots of cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Sabir; brother, Chuck “Charles” McMillan; sisters, Gwen and Deborah; her daughter, Amara; and her biological father, Charles McMillan.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 1:00 P.M., with visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.  In celebration of April's life, the family invites you to wear something yellow to the service.
