Arlene G. (Hanson) Landa, 88, of Moorhead, MN, went home to her precious Lord and Savior on Monday, August 10, 2026, from Serenity Assisted Living and Memory Care in Dilworth, MN. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Arlene was born on October 15, 1937, in Hawley, MN, to Albert and Inga (Nelson) Hanson. She grew up in Hawley and attended school before moving to Moorhead where she graduated from high school.

On August 10, 1957, Arlene married Darvin Landa and together they made their home in Dilworth and later Moorhead, MN.

Over the years, she worked at Northwestern Bell, was an office manager at Golden Living Center, and worked at NM Electric. Arlene was very active in the community and at Dilworth Lutheran Church while raising her two sons Greg and Todd. She taught Sunday and Bible School at Dilworth Lutheran enjoyed being a Den Mother for Cub Scouts.

Most of all, Arlene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, she cherished every moment spent with them. She loved to cook for family holidays, always had a smile on her face, and her giggles will be remembered. Arlene and Darvin also loved to travel and spent their summers on Big Cormorant Lake.

Arlene is survived by her son, Greg Landa of Moorhead, MN; daughters-in-law, Pam Landa of Helena, MT; Mary Jo Dahl of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Chelsey (Adam) Sperle of Moorhead, MN, Walker Landa of Augusta, MT; great-grandchildren, Piper, Gatlin and Dax Sperle, Georgia Landa; and sisters-in-law, Betty Landa, Elaine Landa, Lois Landa; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darvin; son, Todd; parents, Albert and Inga Hanson; siblings, Allen (Delores) Hanson, Hazel (Joe) Villiard, Melvina (Ivan) Villiard, Viola (Troy) Cofer; brothers-in-law, Roy Landa and Douglas Landa; and sister-in-law, Alice (Morris) Most.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the employees at Serenity Memory Care in Dilworth, MN, as well as House Calls and Hospice.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, followed by the memorial service at 11:00 AM, in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
