Armando Cardenas

Armando Cardenas Jimenez, 58, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, March 21, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Armando was born March 5, 1966, in Pierdas Negras Coahuila, MX, to Celia Jimenez Gonzalez and Guadalupe Cardenas Hurtado. Growing up, Armando loved baseball and excelled in the sport. He was known as “El Tingas” by many and was part of the Carpinteros 1986-87 championship team.  He married Martha De La Cruz on May 26, 1984. Together they lived in San Antonio. Texas, then moved to Carrizo Springs, Texas, before making Minnesota their home. 

Armando is survived by his children, Armando Cardenas, Jr., Luis Cardenas, Claudia (Salvador) Vargas, Edna (Adrian) Maldonado, Jennifer (Runi) Toma; 19 grandchildren; his siblings, Elva De Luna, Martha De Luna, Gloria Estela De Luna, Jose Angle De Luna; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Cardenas; his parents, Celia and Guadalupe; and siblings, Raul De Luna, Rosalinda De Luna, Sonia Margarita Cardenas and Guadalupe Cardenas.
