Arthur J. ’Jay’ Thunem

Jay Thunem, 68, Moorhead, MN, died on Sunday, May 21, 2006, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.Arthur J. "Jay" Thunem was born on July 28, 1937, in Plentywood, MT, to Arthur and Hazel Carlson Thunem. He grew up and attended school there, graduating from Plentywood High School. He attended Catholic Seminary in Iowa and then graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, with a teaching degree. He taught German in Dilworth, MN, for a brief period and then taught German at Moorhead High School for the rest of his career, retiring in 1998.Jay is survived by six nieces and nephews.
