B. Mildred ’Millie’ Jacobson

Mildred "Millie" Jacobson, 90, Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN, died on Thursday, September 08, 2005, in the nursing home.B. Mildred "Millie" Dakken was born on December 30, 1914, in Pekin, ND, to Gilbert and Ida Thorson Dakken. She grew up and attended country school south of Tolna, ND, and graduated from Tolna High School in 1934. Millie married William J. Jacobson on October 13, 1938 in McVille, ND. They lived in McVille and Wahpeton, ND, before moving to Fargo-Moorhead. She worked for Sears, Northern School Supply and then Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she retired from in the 1970's.Millie is survived by two brothers, Kermit Betty Dakken, Tolna, ND, and Rueben Doris Dakken, Tolna, ND; two sisters, Idella Tweed, Fargo, ND, and Sally Eykyn, Charleston, S.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Evelyn Dakken and Myrna Schindele; and her nephew Kelly Dakken.
