Betty Mae Leiseth

Betty Mae (Bernhardson) Leiseth, 101, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died on August 20, 2022, in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born June 18, 1921, to Elvin and Florence Bernhardson on a farm near Comstock, MN. She graduated from Comstock Public Schools and Moorhead State Teachers’ College. She taught at the Ness School and Comstock and Rustad Public Schools.

On June 11, 1946, Betty married Marvin Leiseth at Clara Lutheran Church in Comstock. They farmed near Rustad until moving to Moorhead in 1988. Marvin passed away in 1989.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Judy Leiseth (Dennis Bagenstos) and Marsha (Kurt) Ehrhardt; grandsons Nicholas (Jessica) and Matthew Ehrhardt; and great grandchildren Nellie, Kaden, Remington, and Maren; siblings Eddie (Barbara) Bernhardson, Helen Kassenborg, Chuck (Helen) Bernhardson and sister-in-law Marilyn Bernhardson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, daughter Linda; siblings Drell and his wife Adeline, Lucille and her husband Glenn, Lois, and Wally, and brother-in-law Allen Kassenborg.

Visitation will be from 10A.M. to 11A.M., followed by the memorial service at 11A.M. Friday, September 2,2022, at Hoff Lutheran Church, Rustad, MN.
