Beverly “Bev” Henning, 71, of Moorhead, formerly of Hawley, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Bev was born December 13, 1954, in Milwaukee, WI, to Arnie and Beatrice (Hein) Koski. She spent many years working as an insurance underwriter, where she met the love of her life, William “Bill” Henning. They married on August 25, 1984, and together built a loving home in Hawley while raising their family.

Bev’s greatest joy was her family and the many people she welcomed into her life. She enjoyed being involved in her community as a Girl Scout leader and Sunday School teacher, cheering her children on at countless sporting events, and spending time with family and friends. She had a creative spirit and especially loved crafting and decorating for the holidays. In retirement, she continued giving back as a member of the Moorhead Volunteer Police Department and as an AARP Safe Driving instructor.

Bev will be deeply missed by her children, Kate (Rylee) Gefroh and Matt (Emily) Henning of Fargo, ND, and David (Chris) Henning of North Port, FL; her grandchildren, Carter, Rosabella, Parker, and Emmeline; and her brother, Keith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, and her parents, Arnie and Beatrice.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 15, from 1:00–2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Moorhead, MN. Interment will follow at the church’s columbarium.
