Bonaventure I. Mackowick, age 78 of Moorhead, MN, passed away on August 7th, 2026, due to medical complications. She was preceded in death by her grandson Zachariah, both parents, in-laws, three brothers, and three sisters. She will be greatly missed by her husband Larry of 59 years. Bonnie is the love of his life. Her children and grandchildren—Timothy (Amanda, Haley, and Jake); Gretchen (Megean and Iziah); Charles; Monica; and Justin (Tristan, Caleb, and Kaia)—and two great-granddaughters will miss her greatly.

Bonnie was born into a family with eleven children in Twin Valley, MN, where she was raised and graduated high school. She married Larry on December 31st, 1966; she was blessed to be a stay-at-home wife. They moved to Moorhead in 1970, where they raised their children and made it their home. They belong to St. Joseph Catholic Church, where Bonnie was very active, as she sang for the choir and the funeral choir and volunteered for many church functions. She was also a long-time member of Christian Mothers.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 1-2 p.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.

Final resting place will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN at a later date.
