Bonnie Jean (Sass) Meyer, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on July 10th at 9:45pm, leaving behind her family and the many friends she made over the years. Bonnie was born on July 6, 1938, on a farm in Murray County, south of Tracy, MN, to John D and Minnie (Getzel) Sass. She met Richard (Dick) Meyer in high school, and they were married on August 31, 1956. In 1959, the couple moved to Moorhead, MN, attending Trinity Lutheran church. Their final move was in 1969 to Audubon, MN, where they raised their family on Little Cormorant Lake and attended St. Peter’s Lutheran church.

Bonnie is survived by the following. Her three children: Julie (Dewey) Kohler of Detroit Lakes, MN and Tucson, AZ; David (Tammy) Meyer of Glencoe, MN; and James (Paul Zapala) Meyer of Palm Springs, CA. She was the proud grandmother of Matthew Kohler, Erika (Steven) Brauner, Sarah Kohler, Amanda Meyer, and Dawson Meyer; the doting great-grandmother of Warren and Maisie Brauner.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Dick, infant granddaughter Jessica Meyer, parents, and two brothers John and Donald.
