Bruce Scott Tweten, 59, Glyndon, Minnesota died unexpectedly at his home on August 28, 2023.
Bruce Scott Tweten was born on August 3, 1964, in Moorhead, Minnesota, the son of Russell and Jean (Birkeland) Tweten. Bruce was baptized September 3, 1964 and confirmed May 6, 1979 at the Glyndon Congregational United Church of Christ in Glyndon, Minnesota.
Bruce was raised near Glyndon and graduated from Glyndon Felton High School. For many years, Bruce farmed with his dad and brothers. He worked for Green Masonry and recently Huesman Schreiber Masonry.
Bruce loved snowmobiling with his brothers, friends and his nephews. He enjoyed spending time with friends and relatives. Bruce always greeted you with a huge smile and was always willing to help out when needed and he could fix just about anything. Bruce spent many hours working on his yard and was an avid pickle maker, giving away many jars every fall. Bruce liked to travel and loved spending time in Florida each winter.
Bruce's warm personality and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a devoted son, brother, cousin, uncle and cherished friend. His kind-hearted nature and willingness to lend a helping hand endeared him to many.
Bruce will be remembered and loved by his mother, Jean Tweten, of Appleton, MN; two sisters Diane (Alyn) Sylte and Vicki (Mark) Landseidel, and two brothers, Greg (Kathy) Tweten and Anthony Tweten. He is also survived by his nephews and a niece: Brandon (Jenny Jackson) Tweten, Dana (Chris) Krajnik, David (Samantha) Tweten, Jack (Julie) Landseidel as well as great nephews: James, Jack, Michael, Blake, Caden and great niece Ava.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father Russell Tweten, his grandparents and many other loving relatives and friends. Blessed be his memory.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 3:00pm to 5:00 pm followed by a prayer service at 5:00 pm at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. The family encourages others to share memories and stories of Bruce during the service.
Final resting place will be in Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
