Carl A. Smith

Carl Alton Smith, 70, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Born November 9, 1940 to Bill and Betty Hill Smith, Carl attended school in Peru, Indiana and Indiana State University. As a Manufatcuring Production Manager, Carl worked for Crysteel Manufacturing, Polaris Industries and Loegering Manufacturing. Carl married Kathleen Pettis on December 27, 1991, in St. Peter, MN. He enjoyed working in their yard, garden, and spending time with their horses. He also enjoyed music, especially playing his violin and accordion. He will be dearly missed.Carl is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Sutton Todd Schalley of Huntingdon, IN; grandsons, Cooper and Hudson; son, Jonah Smith of South Bend, IN; sisters, Trudy Judge of Peru, IN and Sally Pritchard of Grants Pass, OR.
