Carol Thomas, 95, of Moorhead Minnesota, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died November 23rd at Eventide on Eighth in Moorhead. Visitation will be held at Wright Funeral Home, 605 2nd Ave South Moorhead, on November 28th from 5 to 7 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm. Funeral service will be November 29th at North Buffalo Lutheran Church, 2520 120th Ave North Moorhead MN. Visitation at 10 am and funeral beginning at 11 am.

Carol was born May 14th, 1930, to Albert and Amy Swanson of rural Moorhead. After graduating high school, she enrolled in Nurses training at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo North Dakota and worked several years there as a nurse. She married Wallace Thomas on December 28th, 1953, in the First Congregational Church in Moorhead and then joined him in membership at North Buffalo Lutheran Church in which she was very active for many years. Carol and Wally raised five children on their farm north of Moorhead until 1991 when Wally retired and they moved to Moorhead.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Wallace, sister Janet Sorenson, five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her brother Alvin Swanson and children Lee (Noreen), Lori Oberg, Glenn (Sandy), Wayne (Gerry) and Karen (Craig Brenden) along with Grandchildren Brita (Chris Mahrer), Evan (Melanie), Carsten (Sarah), Jared Oberg (Emily), Carolyn Oberg, Jacob Brenden (Amy), Kirsten Mosser (Sawyer), Mabel Thomas, Drew and Clara Thomas and eight great grandchildren.
